Dear Parents and Guardians

Thank you for thinking about EDEN for your daughter. Dr Gary Hopkins makes this statement:

“Resiliency seems to be all about hope; it is the sense that adversity can be overcome, that there is life beyond the obstacles of today.”

The EDEN Conference aims to build resilience by equipping and empowering young people within a safe environment to make positive and healthy life choices. It is our goal to help young people write great stories with their lives. At the end of an EDEN Conference we believe each young person will walk away with a sense of hope in the future.

We believe by recognizing and enhancing their self-value and confidence facilitates their personal holistic growth. EDEN covers Emotional, Spiritual and Physical Health (including Sexual Health) and focuses on giving young people the tools to think through their decisions and make great live choices. It is great to see that young women are displaying Leadership and we actively encourage the leadership skills seen in your girls, throughout the event. The team here at EDEN wants to be a partner with you as parents to help grow the next generation. This event is  sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, New Zealand Christian Foundation and ADRA. We as a team are passionately committed to seeing  hope filled, healthy young people whose lives are amazing stories.  EDEN is hosted by appropriately qualified professionals who are experienced with youth issues. EDEN is currently supporting young women, but you might be asking “What about Boys?” We are currently working on a project for Boys and it will be available very soon.
